About the Club
Welcome to the San Francisco Chronicle Wine Club.
The Chronicle, like the City it calls home, is well versed in wine. It is the only newspaper in America to publish a weekly section devoted exclusively to fine wine. Through our weekly panel tastings, we sample thousands of wines a year. The best of them are featured in The Chronicle's wine pages and our favorites become SF Chronicle Wine Club selections.
The bottles you'll receive will include some of the top wines we discover. That includes highly regarded selections from our panel, but we also consider it our mission to showcase promising new wineries and lesser-known finds from around the world. Only those wines that prove good enough to include in the Chronicle's Wine section are considered for the club.
But what is wine without food? In addition to managing a 20,000-bottle wine cellar, The Chronicle's Food & Wine Department operates a comprehensive test kitchen where our writers and columnists develop recipes that celebrate the Bay Area’s ethnic diversity and that harness Northern California's bounty of local, seasonal ingredients. With each wine you receive, we’ll provide a recipe to pair with it, so you create a terrific meal.
