Can I cancel my membership at any time?

Yes. You may cancel the wine club membership at any time, and you are under no obligation to continue the club. However, we do ask that you contact us by the end of a month to avoid receiving the next month's shipment. In the case of gift memberships, you or your giftee is permitted to cancel the gift membership at any time. Any unused months will be refunded to your account. Please contact us for more information.

When will I or my gift recipient receive the introductory pack?

This depends on what state you are shipping to. We ship out of Northern California.

These quotes are via FedEx-Ground, our standard delivery method. Expedited shipping is also available on our site. You will see the new quoted delivery time and freight charge on your order detail page when you choose this option. Please be advised that this only expedites the introductory pack deliveries, and not the monthly deliveries.

Can you delay my introductory shipment?

At this time we cannot delay introductory shipments. At Holiday time we do allow delay of gift shipments only to ship in mid-December.

When will I receive my monthly shipments?

The monthly wine shipments leave our facilities between approximately the 15th and 20th of each month.

How much is each monthly shipment?

Each shipment is $34.95 per month, plus any applicable sales tax and freight charges.

Why can't you ship to my state?

Due to state alcohol shipment regulations, The Sunset Wine Club can only be sent to the following 19 states at this time: California, Idaho, Illinois, Iowa, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, New Hampshire, New Mexico, Nevada, North Dakota, Ohio, Oregon, South Carolina, Texas, Washington, Wisconsin, West Virginia and Wyoming.

Can I change the address the wine is being delivered to at any time?

Yes. You may change the address your shipment is going to at any time, as long as it is in a state we are legally allowed to ship to. Please see above for this state list. To change the address, click here to log-in and access your account. Please remember that you will need to change the address before the 10th of the month for it to take effect on the current month's shipment.

Can I change the credit card my membership is billed to each month?

Yes. You may change the card it is billing to at any time. We accept American Express, Discover, Mastercard and Visa. To change the billing information, click here to log-in and access your account.

Why do you recommend that the wine be shipped to a business address?

Due to the alcoholic content of our product, we recommend that there be an adult present at the time of delivery. We apply "Adult Signature Required" stickers on all our wine shipments to prevent minors from receiving our packages. By U.S. law, all couriers must receive an adult signature and ask for proof of legal drinking age before wine is released. UPS and FedEx will not leave packages unattended, even if the customer signs a release. Because of this, we also cannot ship wine to P.O. boxes or APOs.

If your monthly wine shipment is returned to us due to not being able to be delivered or signed for, we will automatically refund you the $34.95 plus any applicable taxes for that month when the shipment is received back into our warehouse.

Why am I taxed for out-of-state wine purchases?

By law, many states require that local sales tax be added to alcoholic beverages even if purchased outside of that state. In some states, alcohol may have its own tax rate which differs from the base sales tax rate.

Can I track my introductory and monthly orders?

Yes. Once your order is placed, you will immediately receive e-mail confirmation which will include your order number and details of your purchase. We also have an account management feature on our site where you can retrieve this information after your order has shipped. We also have an automated system that sends out an e-mail to you with your tracking number after your order ships. You may also request a tracking number by contacting our Customer Service department here.

What is your refund/return policy?

If you receive a corked or damaged shipment, please contact our customer service department here within 30 days of receipt and we will replace the bottle at no cost to you.
