DESCRIPTION:<p style="margin: 0px; text-align: justify; font-size: 16px; line-height: normal; font-family: 'Times New Roman'; color: #666666;">After 12 years in San Francisco, <a href="http://affairsofthevine.com/"><span style="font-kerning: none; color: #031fa8;">Affairs of the Vine</span></a> has partnered with the <a href="https://www.atlantiscasino.com/"><span style="font-kerning: none; color: #031fa8;">Atlantis Casino Resort Spa</span></a> to bring the 13<span style="font-size: 12px;">th</span> Annual Pinot Noir Summit to the high country of the Sierra and the spectacular Atlantis Casino Resort Spa in Reno on July 25th.</p>
<p style="margin: 0px; text-align: justify; font-size: 16px; line-height: normal; font-family: 'Times New Roman'; color: #666666;">Join us for The 13<span style="font-size: 12px;">th</span> Annual Pinot Noir Summit, the culmination of the Pinot Noir Shootout competition, the largest competition of Pinot Noirs in the wine industry. Over 450 Pinot Noirs have been evaluated by the Affairs of the Vine judging panel. The two day Pinot Noir Summit will celebrate and recognize the top wines and producers from the 13th Pinot Noir Shootout.</p>
<p style="margin: 0px; font-size: 16px; line-height: normal; font-family: 'Times New Roman'; color: #666666;">On Saturday, July 25<span style="font-size: 12px;">th</span>, a full schedule of events and tastings is planned. The Pinot Noir Summit, recognized by <a href="http://www.vinography.com/archives/2014/02/12th_annual_pinot_noir_summit.html"><span style="font-kerning: none; color: #031fa8;">Vinography</span></a> as being “distinctly different” than other tasting events, begins with a series of seminars that will delve into the heart and soul of this unique varietal, followed by a Pinot Pairing Luncheon hosted by winemakers who will circulate as they sample their wines with guests.</p>
<p style="margin: 0px; text-align: justify; font-size: 16px; line-height: normal; font-family: 'Times New Roman'; color: #666666;">The afternoon will be highlighted by the incredibly popular and unique Pinot Noir Challenge Tasting. Attendees blind taste 40 of the top wines selected by the professional judging panel. Male and female votes are tallied separately. The results are announced and winners recognized at the gala Grand Tasting & Awards Ceremony in the evening. Wineries will showcase their award winning Pinot Noirs and other wines they produce. A selection of Pinot-friendly hors d’oeuvre will be served.</p>

Each winemaker will present a single wine to taste that best reflects and demonstrates the unique aspects of their region and/or particular site. </li>

<p style="margin: 0px; font-size: 16px; line-height: normal; font-family: 'Times New Roman'; color: #666666;">A casual lunch featuring flat breads with toppings paired to be paired with “anything Pinot” including Pinot Noir, Pinot Gris, Pinot Blanc, Pinot Meunier, or Sparkling which includes Pinot Noir or Pinot Meunier in the cuvee. Winemakers will circulate sharing tastes of their wines. <br /> <br /> <span style="font-kerning: none; color: #27467d;"><strong>Wine Lovers Pinot Noir Challenge ~ A Blind Tasting</strong></span><strong>: 1:30pm-4:00pm  Emerald Meeting Rooms</strong></p>
