The 2015 La Jolla Art & Wine Festival returns to La Jolla for its sixth annual season on October 10th and 11th in the heart of the village, on Girard Ave. This two-day juried art show and fundraiser has quickly garnered a reputation as one of the most prestigious art & wine festivals in Southern California. The La Jolla Art & Wine Festival is free and open to the public.
Featuring the works of over 150 established artists from San Diego, Los Angeles, Orange County, Baja and beyond, the LJAWF features something for everyone including a silent auction, roving entertainment, a gourmet marketplace, the family art center and a wine and beer garden which will include premier wineries in addition to San Diego’s top breweries.
The festival was originally created by Friends of La Jolla Elementary, founders of the La Jolla Open Aire Market, and has most recently garnered the support and established a partnership with the La Jolla Village Merchants Association. All profits raised benefit underfunded programs such as art, music, science, physical education, technology, and on-site medical care at local public elementary and middle schools. Since launching in 2009, the LJAWF has raised over $338,000.
The Wine and Beer Garden is open on Saturday from noon to 7:00pm and Sunday from noon to 6:00pm. Patrons 21 and older can discover and enjoy regional and international wines as well as local San Diego craft beers. Stop by and sample the delectable wines from Valle De Guadalupe, California, France and more. Come celebrate the wide variety of internationally renowned brews by our San Diego craft breweries.
There is no charge to enter the wine and beer garden. Single tickets for a wine or beer tasting is $4 and six pack of tickets is $20.
