The Wine Room is located in the heart of downtown Palo Alto, in a beautiful Spanish adobe with red-tile roof, stucco walls and a charming courtyard with gorgeous ceramic tile, terra cotta cases and decorative wrought iron work. Wine Room owner, Michael Garcia, restored the building to its original grandeur prior to opening what has become Palo Alto's most popular wine bar. Inside the Wine Room, guests will find two cozy rooms perfect for enjoying a glass or wine or appetizer with friends. The front room includes a spacious bar, fireplaces and lively atmosphere, while the back room provides an intimate setting with comfortable couches, area rugs and soft lighting.
The wine list features a wide range of wines by the glass to suit every palate and budget and includes boutique wines from around the world.
The Wine Room is available for private parties. An on-staff caterer and event planner are available to manage every detail of your party or event.

A place you can call home
The Wine Room was my spot for a good two years and it continues to be a great place to gather with friends to enjoy a lovely glass of wine and conversation. The best days to find the bar quiet and chill have been Sunday and Monday - this places is hopping Thursday - Saturday. The staff and variety of wines are excellent and if you can score a seat at the bar take it!
